FERTILE GROUND is On Sale

Kind of a Cascading Sale Thing
Okay, so I totally forgot to post here on Wednesday. Which is kinda stupid of me, since I had a sale start on Wednesday. Oh, I did all the marketing posts to FB and MeWe, but not here. Derp.
Anyway, here's the deal...
DYING EMBERS is on sale now. 99c if you're in the US. 99p if you're in the UK. This sale will last through to the 16th. Then FERTILE GROUND goes on sale for 99 through the 23rd. Then EARLY GRAVE goes on sale for 99 through the 2nd of March.
 I'm trying something there. Kind of a cascading sale thing. Of course, I think the sales for FG and EG would be dependent on sales for DE, and so far it's been crickets for DE. I'm not holding out a lot of hope.
But hey, you can't win if you don't try. Right?
In other news, I've been so wrapped up in preparing for and worrying about the weather (it's frigid now and they're predicting 3-9 inches of snow for next week), I haven't used much brain power to actually work. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. One would think because I'm stuck inside, it would be the perfect time to work. Umm, nope.
Hopefully, now that we're as prepared as we're going to get, I can settle down and work. I need to poke myself in the ass and just get it done. Sheesh.

Cyber Monday? That Means Sale Time Again
A lot of you will be doing some online shopping today, but I won't. I'm doing the selling. Well, kind of selling. You see, DYING EMBERS is free worldwide today through the 3rd. FERTILE GROUND and EARLY GRAVE are the ones on sale (US and UK only). Get those two now thru the 5th for only 99c/99p each.
So, now's the time to pick up a copy of one or all of them. Get them for yourself. Gift them to your friends and family. Spread the suspense and the justice around. See the bad guys get what's coming to them. It's good fun for everyone. (Given the proper maturity level, of course.)
Read along while Jace tracks a serial killer bent on fiery revenge, Teri chases a serial rapist with a god complex, and Ned hunts down an Angel of Death who's no angel at all. Agents who have to face their own fears and regrets to do their jobs and stop some nasty characters.
Like I said, good fun. ;o)

SCIU Sale
All three of the books in the Serial Crimes Investigation Unit series are on sale starting today and running through 11:59p PST (US) or GMT (UK). 99c/99p each.
Buy one or buy them all.
The SCIU series US
The SCIU series UK
Dying Embers US
Dying Embers UK
Fertile Ground US
Fertile Ground UK
Early Grave US
Early Grave UK
All of them are also available through the Kindle Unlimited program, so that's over a thousand pages of suspense for free with your subscription. Jus' sayin'.
If you haven't read any of them, they're stand alone novels with the SCIU organization tying them together, and a bit of information from Dying Embers in Fertile Ground and Early Grave (and a bit from Fertile Ground in Early Grave). But yeah, new main characters, new plots, fresh faces with a bit of the old, familiar mixed in.
They were a ton of fun to write and from what I've heard, they're a ton of fun to read, too. If you haven't read them, now's the budget-friendly time to give them a whirl. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
And I know it's horribly teasing of me to talk about it, especially when I'm in a writing dry spell, but I do have plans for a fourth book. Maybe next year? I have the plot - someone is killing the criminals the SCIU went after who got off on technicalities - but no title yet. Stick with me, folks. I ain't done yet.

Technical Difficulties
Gah.
Good thing I check prior to actually marketing. Fertile Ground and Early Grave are showing correct at $1.99 each, which is good, but the flagship of the series is Dying Embers. Can't market the whole series if the first book is wrong. And right now, I'm not sure if someone one-clicking the book will get it free or wind up paying 99c when they thought it was free. Either way, it's a pretty bad way to have a sale.
I've contacted Amazon. So far, they've been pretty good about getting things fixed when I've contacted them. Hopefully today's error will be fixed quickly, so I don't lose too many marketing days.
I assume everything is okay on the UK site. They won't show me pricing there because it's not my country. Which is weird because I can see pricing on the sites for other countries. If you happen to be able to see pricing in the UK and see it as free, let me know.
Ah, life and it's occasional technical difficulties.
Anyway, if you've already read DE, pick up a copy of Fertile Ground and/or Early Grave at $2 off. I can tell by the way page reads go that they're real page-turners. (I always thought so, but it's nice to have it confirmed by other people.)

Meet The Three Wise Agents
Jace Douglas in Dying Embers. After losing her family to a blaze when she was a teen, she's terrified of fire. But she won't let her fears stop her from catching the Car-B-Que Killer.
Teri Buchanan in Fertile Ground. With a serial rapist/killer hunting Southeast Michigan, she fights against the trauma of her own attack to bring a sick bastard to justice.
Ned Washington of Early Grave. Haunted by the memories of his own grandmother's mistreatment and death, Ned will find and stop the psycho responsible for ending the lives of the elderly before their times have come.
These guys aren't carrying gifts, but they are on a mission. To see justice done.
Get the whole SCIU series for under $5 today.

SCIU Sale
Just a quick note to let y'all know that the SCIU (Serial Crimes Investigation Unit) series books are on sale this week. 99c here in the US and .99p in the UK.
There'll be an ENT ad going out today for Dying Embers. If you already have DE, now's the time to grab the others.
If you're not familiar with the SCIU series, each book stands alone and centers on a different main character within the same law enforcement agency. They all have the same general theme - an agent dealing with a case that is personally difficult for them (even though Ned in Early Grave doesn't really realize it until near the end) and a villain with a psychotic reason for their actions.
And, yes, the bad guys always get what's coming to them in the end. I don't write books where the bad guys win. Ever.
So, anyway, thank you to everyone who's already bought and read the books. Super special thanks to those that also left a review.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled lives. ;o)

3 Books for under $4
Remember how I said I would be having a sale on the SCIU books? Well, now's the time.
Dying Embers is free through Sunday.
Fertile Ground is 99c through the end of the month.
Early Grave is still $2.99.
Which means you could get all three books for less than $4. And that's worldwide, folks. (Or whatever the equivalent price is wherever you live.)
For some reason, Amazon hasn't caught up and put Early Grave in the series with the other two, but trust me, it's the third book in the series. I'd know. ;o)
Anyway, I love this series. I hope you will, too.

Early Grave is Available Now
Remember how I said Early Grave would be released on the 20th, or earlier if I could swing it? Well, it went live yesterday. Early Grave released day early. Which is kind of funny when you think about it. Or maybe that's just me. I might be a little loopy.
Anyway, it's available at Amazon wherever you live, but here are the links for the English-speaking countries (because those are the only ones I can read):
Amazon US
Amazon UK
Amazon AU
Amazon CA
It's only $2.99 here in the states (and whatever price Amazon thinks that equates to in other countries) - because I'm still keeping that promise I made to maintain a reasonable price on all my books. Or it's free if you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited.
I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Stuffs
I know some of you weren't keen on the blurb, but I went with it. It's in line with the blurbs from the other two. (I changed the blurb for Fertile Ground, so it's more in line, too. And creepier. Can't help the creepy.)
I'm also hip deep in the final edits of Early Grave. I should have those done over the next couple days and then I'll format. And THEN I'll upload it to Amazon and make it live so all y'all can finally snag a copy. So, Friday's still a good day for release and it'll be live earlier if I can swing it. It's going into the world at $2.99.
BTW, if you missed it, FG is on sale all month worldwide. It's 99c here in the US and all other prices are adjusted accordingly. Dying Embers will be free sometime next week (I have to wait until my KDP 90 days is over on Wednesday and after EG is live to set that up.)
I have ideas for three more Dennis Haggarty mysteries. I still have to write them, so don't look for those any time soon. Next year maybe.
The way Sleeping Ugly is currently written, it will be a new series. Which means I'd better get some ideas for subsequent books soon or rewrite SU so it's a standalone.
And I'm still planning on putting Unequal into the world either late this year or early next. Another dystopian. Weeee.
So much in my head and so little time to get it all done. I need a clone. Or a way to work more hours without going batshit crazy.
Any questions?

Early Grave Cover Reveal
And here's the series all together.
I think they look good as a set. And I think I did a good job keeping series continuity, considering I did not do the first cover. But that's me.
Anyway, still shooting for late April. In fact, if I keep to previous timeframes it might be more like mid-April. Wouldn't that be super?
