It's Almost Here!

Another month and Wish Hits the Fan will be available for everyone to read.  :muppetflail:

Until then, all I can give you is the cover...

And the blurb...

You’d think being a genie would be easy-peasy.  But when you’re Jo Mayweather, ain’t nothing so simple.  Sure, she defeated the Efreet at the big warehouse blowup, but those bastards left a surprise for her amongst the cages.  Now she’s got to figure out why the hell the Efreet would be messing with creating a deadly species, who they’re afraid of, and why the gods themselves are running.  With the deities on a break, it’s up to Jo to gather the genies and save the world.  But who’s going to save her?

And a snippet from the beginning...

What in the name of Uncle Hank is it now?
I gazed around the dilapidated warehouse as if seeing it for the first time.  Cages hung from chains all around the open expanse.  They had been filled with genies for the most part.  Others held vampires and lycanthropes and members of a myriad of species across the supernatural realm.  Almost all of them were empty now, their prisoners set free by myself and my merry band of djinn allies.  The final few left occupied housed Efreet—sort of the anti-us, if you will—awaiting whatever punishment they deserved for being the heinous bastards they were.
“Come on, Jo.”
Jo.  That was me.  Josephine Eugenia Mayweather to be more precise.  I guess I was kind of shell-shocked, waiting for the fact I was needed elsewhere to sink in.  Not much more than an hour had passed since my friends had kicked Efreet ass in this shitty New York City warehouse. And while they were at it, I got to battle my own father in a melodramatic kind of freakish family reunion.  My compatriots had won.  I’d won.
It was over.
Over?  I’d have to allow myself a good chuckle later.  It wouldn’t be over until I was taking the big dirt nap.  And being a djinn meant few things were able to put me six feet under.

As you see, it picks up where Up Wish Creek left off.  Of course, if you haven't read Up Wish Creek, maybe you don't see.  But you can rectify that in plenty of time before September 15th, so have at it.

Worldwide Cover Reveal and Blurb - Fertile Ground (SCIU #2)

No consent required.
Adam Wyte has been nothing special his entire life, but everyone will remember him once his mission is complete. His diabolical plan to sow his seed and reap sons is so far along, no one can stop him now. And his carefully chosen list of women will help him—whether they want to or not.

Justice is essential.
With the shadow of Jace Douglas’ success hanging over her, Agent Teri Buchanan transferred away from the S.C.I.U. headquarters intent on proving she’s as good as the next woman. And if moving to the Detroit branch also lets her bury the memories of her own attack, even better. When her first assignment means hunting down a serial rapist turned killer, she can’t let her fears interfere with her job. Even if she ends up confronting a need to carry out more justice than she ever received.

I'm Such a Tease

Hey all.  I've got a newsletter coming up in the wee hours of tomorrow morning and it's got all sorts of interesting stuff in it.  I really want all y'all to see it, but I don't want to ruin the surprise for the subscribers, so...

Here's a teaser taste of the cover reveal.

And I snippet of the first chapter.

Zeke’s place looked like a war zone.
The once-lovely mansion of wood and stone complimented with steel and glass now could’ve been a piece of abstract art. Entire portions had been wished out of existence. I expected the remainder to topple over at any minute. Bits of the debris still smoldered, sending tendrils of gray into the morning light.
Is that gas I smell?
I hadn’t seen or heard from my former lover since the night we saved my corner of genie-dom and turned my home into a melted mess in the process. Zeke should’ve at least texted me to come retrieve the bitch who used to be my best friend. Frankly, I’d been relieved to not have to deal with that particular problem. Especially since I’d been the one to turn her into a dog in the first place. That was at first. Then concern took over and sent me looking for the man and the pooch.
Only to pull into the driveway of Casa Salvador Dali. All the place needed was a few oozing clocks scattered around.
All of the damage might explain Zeke’s lengthy silence. Or so I thought until I realized the mayhem couldn’t have been more than a couple hours old.
“Jo, love?” The right proper Basil Hadresham, my friend and business partner, queried through the cell phone pressed against my ear. “Are you still on the line?”
We’d been discussing work when I pulled up to the jigsaw mansion. After that, cogent thought had left him behind. “What? Yeah, I’m still here. The problem is, Zeke’s not.” I think. I hoped he wasn’t inside somewhere stiff as a door and deader than the knob.

You'll get the rest of the cover and all of chapter one if you sign up for the newsletter today.  Otherwise, you'll have to wait.  And I know how you hate waiting. ;o)

In Deep Wish is due out March 15th and should be available for pre-order on March 4th.

Cover Reveal - Wish in One Hand

Okay, so I did this informal FB poll yesterday of whether I should release the cover of Wish in One Hand out to the world online now or wait, and give my newsletter readers a first taste before the rest of the world sees it.  After high-level, closed-door consultation with my top advisers, I have decided to release the ebook cover online today, and then show the print cover and a snippet of the book to my newsletter subscribers on the 1st.  Plus, the newsletter subscribers will get a chance at an exclusive contest.

So without further ado...

Careful what you wish for.
Wish in One Hand is the first in a paranormal series* I haven't named yet.  If you've been following along over the past however-many years, this book was previously called Djinnocide.

And here's what the book's about:

Careful what you wish for.

In hindsight, Jo Mayweather should've taken those words seriously back in her flapper-girl days.  Of course, being the gal she is, she probably would’ve made the not-so-clever wish that turned her into a genie anyway. Not that throwing wishes around doesn’t have its perks, but for the most part, life's been a pain in the tiny-hiney ever since.

Especially since she made it her mission to rescue her fellow djinn from their Masters and those three little wishes. Running into a supernatural lowlife who delights in murdering the genies she's vowed to save doesn’t help.

And some say immortality lasts forever.  What do they know?

Now, instead of freeing djinn-kind, Jo has a killer to neutralize.  If only she'd kept her mouth shut years ago, she might not be in this mess.  But she's got a job to do, despite some reject from a bad B-movie trying to ruin everything she's worked so hard for.

Even if this time her job might get her killed.  Or worse-enslaved again.

I expect a release date somewhere in mid-August.  Should be doable as long as the final editing phases don't take too awfully long.

I'm so totally excited.

Oh, and if you're not a newsletter subscribers, no probs - it's easy-peasy.  Just got back to the tab line above this post and click on where it says "NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP FORM".  Fill out the deets and submit.  Then reply to the email where it asks if you really did sign up.  (If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.  If you don't reply to the email, you don't get the newsletter.)

*Books 2 and 3 are written, but unedited.  I expect to release them both next year - probably spring and fall of 2016.
