This (not the cover... the manuscript):
There's Jo, holding Amun - the book who used to be an Efreet. With wishy sparkles. In an industrial setting. (All the elements of the cover will make sense when you read the book next month sometime.)
In case you missed the theme, here are the other two books in the series:
I know I usually save the cover reveal for my newsletter first, and usually I reveal the cover closer to actual publication, but I couldn't stand waiting anymore. So there it is.
Special thanks to Jessica Allain for doing my awesome covers for this series.
I hope you like the covers. I hope you'll read the books. (Linky-loos over there in the sidebar.) Now, back to whipping Up Wish Creek into shape so I have something other than a hot mess to offer you. ;o)
I LOVE the branding on this series! And I'm waiting patiently. Mostly. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I'm really working as hard as I can now. You should've poked me in the ass in May/June when I was really a toad. ;o)
DeleteI love the cover! You found yourself a great artist.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing early. I've been hoping you show it soon.
Thanks, Deb! I got lucky when I saw another writer singing her praises and decided to look her up. I really got lucky she had time to take me on. Whew.
DeleteThanks for being so supportive!
I really like the covers for this series. They are bright, colourful and eye-catching, exactly what draws me in. I'm very much a visual book-picker which can be a block sometimes. I'm a volunteer with my local library and I look after an elderly lady who's housebound. I chose books / audio books / dvds etc for her on a monthly basis, and it's not as easy as I thought it would be. What I'd read isn't always what she'd read. I love the paranormals, urban fantasy stuff which is not her thing. Strangely for a lady of 83 she really enjoys the war stuff. I try to mix it up for her, and yes, as always I'm drawn to certain books because of their covers. Having had this experience, I think you're on a winner with the covers this artist has done for the djinn.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fran! I hope you find the stories just as engaging.
DeleteHave you tried Deborah Carr (aka Georgina Troy, aka DM Carr) for your elderly lady? She's a writer in Jersey. If she likes war stuff, she'll probably love Debs' Broken Faces about young people during WWI. And Liz Fenwick might interest her. She's an expatriate from this side of the pond, but she lives in and writes about Cornwall.
